The students of Caldwell Elementary School have shown great kindness and generosity to their fellow students this school year. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade know what it means to come together to help when needed.
There have been several occasions where the students, staff and parents have rallied together to support several families this year.
“Our star students, staff, and families never cease to amaze me,” said Rebecca Clapp, Caldwell principal. “Their generosity and compassion for others who are in need is never ending. Our students are learning at an early age what it means to put others’ needs before their own. Caldwell is not only a “learning” community but a giving one,” said Clapp.
Students have brought their own money to contribute to these causes. Some of the students are giving up their pizza money or pickle money, and parents are contributing as well. The staff and students have collected more than $2,700 through donations, fund raisers, and penny drives. Though it is the end of the school year, the students and staff are still doing what they can to be as supportive and compassionate when called upon.
