News Release TISD Students Inducted into the NJHS
Thirty-nine seventh grade students from Hubbard Middle School are inducted into the membership of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). Members are selected by a Faculty Council for meeting high standards of scholarship, service, leadership, citizenship, and character.
“National Junior Honor Society members are chosen for and then expected to continue their exemplary contributions to the school and community,” said Eugenia Pennebaker, chapter adviser.
Students inducted: Dariana Avila, Michelle Beisert, Alexandra Brooks, Kendall Bullock, Morgan Chance, Savannah Coats, Will Curtis, Luke Derfus, Rahil Doctor, Mahmoud El-Kishky, Brian Ewalt, Mallorei Farmer, Kali Foster, Libby George, Julia Harrison, Krista Huff, Grace Jarrel, Sarah Johnson, Timothy Johnson, Mallory Kuechle, Caleb Latson, Aliehs Lee, Gene Lewis, Karen Lopez, Megan McDaniel, Melissa Menard, Lane Morse, Karli Nixon, Hannah Pascual, Alyssa Preddy, Maddie Rocha, Allison Sanders, Ruhama Shakhawat, Brandon Spears, Sean Steddom, Lindsey Sweet, Richard Wallach, Katie Waller, and Kara Wang.
The National Junior Honor Society ranks as one of the oldest and most prestigious national organizations for middle level students. Chapters exist in more than 60 percent of the nation’s middle schools and many foreign countries. NJHS is sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals, which also sponsors the National Honor Society.
