Tyler ISD Recognized in National Competition

     Tyler ISD Office of Communications and the Tyler ISD Foundation received five combined award recognitions from the 2008 National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) Publications and Electronic Media Competition.  The organization is comprised of public school personnel throughout the nation and honors their publications and other media for outstanding achievement.

     The following is a listing of the award recognitions received by Tyler ISD: 

·         Audio/Visual Program & Presentations, Career and Technology – Your Passion, Your Plan, Angela Jenkins and Greg McRae, Award of Excellence.

·         Audio/Visual Program & Presentations, Teacher of the Year HEROES, Angela Jenkins and Greg McRae, Award of Merit.

·         Education Association – Marketing material for the Tyler ISD Foundation’s Annual Campaign Packet, Larry Goddard and Tracy Phelps, Award of Merit.

·         Marketing Material, Welcome to Tyler ISD, Angela Jenkins and Sandra Stanley, Award of Honorable Mention.

·         Print Newsletter, The Link, Angela Jenkins and Sandra Stanley,
Award of Honorable Mention.

     The Award of Excellence is the most prestigious award given by NSPRA.  Of the more than 1100 entries that were received this year, less than 100 received the Award of Excellence rating.   Entries came from school districts, education foundations, associations and private consultants across the nation.
