TISD Baseball Team Goes Four for Four

The Robert E. Lee High School baseball team is hitting a home run in academics.  Recently graduated seniors Will Evers and Andrew Snodgrass made the Texas High School Coaches 5A All-State Academic team for 2008.  This is the fourth consecutive year the baseball team has had players receive this honor.  Evers and Snodgrass have followed in the footsteps of former students Perry Moore and Trey Johnson in achieving this honor.

According to Mike Pirtle, Robert E. Lee Baseball Coach, these two current young men were superlative in the class room after spending endless hours on the diamond. Evers and Snodgrass will both be attending Texas A & M University in the fall and will be roommates.

The Robert E. Lee Red Raiders baseball team has been in the state play-offs for seven straight years and has averaged 20 wins the last seven seasons.
