Architecture Design of TISD Campus Receives Award

 

The Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) and the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) has awarded PBK Architects, Inc. the Architectural Award of Excellence with Distinction in Design for the Thomas J. Austin Elementary School project in Tyler ISD.  PBK Architects, Inc. participated in the 2008 TASB/TASA School Architecture competition held this summer.  PBK Architects, Inc., along with Fitzpatrick, Butler Architects, Inc., designed Austin Elementary School which opened in the fall of 2007 and was part of the 2004 Bond Program.

 

PBK partner, Fred B. Montes, said, “We are so proud to have played a part in the planning and development of this outstanding elementary school project. All of us at PBK sincerely appreciate the opportunity to work with the Tyler ISD superintendent and all the individuals that make the Tyler Independent School District such a successful part of an outstanding community.”

 

The school project will be displayed at this year’s TASB/TASA Annual Convention held in Dallas from September 26 through September 28.
