November 9 to November 20

Bell Elementary School
Annual Holiday Food Drive

Each grade will compete to see who collects the most items. The class with the most items will win an ice cream sundae party!  The food drive is in conjunction with the Rose City Kiwanis and Brookshire’s Grocery Company.


November 9 to November 30

Hubbard Middle School
Support Our Community Service Projects
6th grade will sponsor the Rainbow Room of Smith County
7th grade will sponsor The St. Paul’s Foundation
8th grade will support our local soldiers

Each grade level will deliver items to their Social Studies classroom that will be donated to the organization they are supporting. In addition, grade levels will compete in a spirit chain contest (.10 a strip) to raise money. Funds raised will pay for postage on the supplies collected for soldiers. The remaining balance will be donated to the organization of the grade level that raised the most money in the spirit chain contest. Donations will be accepted until November 30.

There will be an informational meeting for parents of Seniors 2014 (currently in 8th grade).  Graduation requirements and the scheduling process will be discussed. All parents are encouraged to attend and be involved in this process. Having all the facts allows you to make informed choices.

Student Picture Retakes

Little Theatre

Picture retakes are for new students, students who were absent on picture day or students who did not purchase pictures before but want to do so now. Pictures must be paid for on picture day. Picture forms are available in the front office.  Students who purchased packets before and were not satisfied with the pictures can return the entire packet and have another picture taken.

Clarkston Elementary School
"December In Our Town" Performance

6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Ornelas Activity Center, 3402 Old Omen Road

Fourth and fifth grade students will present "December in our Town", a multicultural celebration of the season. The program also features the "Signing Stars", a hand signing choir. Clarkston families and the community are invited to attend this free performance.

Mr. George Faber will also be providing some accompaniment.

Tickets will be sold at the door: $8.00-Adults; $5.00-Students
All World War II veterans will receive complimentary admission.
The REL Theatre Department will be collecting toys for the annual Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots drive. Bring an unwrapped toy and receive (1) free admission.

Bella Girls to Colonial Manor Nursing Home

Bell Girls travel to the Colonial Manor Nursing Home to visit with residents and give each resident a handmade scarf for winter. The group will return to campus to have a holiday party in the library.

First Annual Jingle Bell Run

Bell Elementary Track

The run is designed to raise funds to help a family that is in need of financial assistance due to recent and unforeseen circumstances. The campus goal is to raise $5000 to help a Bell family. This year, we are seeking to raise awareness of childhood cancer, and help support the family of a Bell student who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. A portion of the donations will go directly to the family and a portion will go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. For more information, please go to the Bell Elementary website.
