IB Diploma Programme is a demanding pre-university course of studies. The courses are college
level and offer students the opportunity to place out and/or take advanced standing at a university by completing required internal and external examinations. The
program meets the needs of highly motivated secondary school students. It is a comprehensive two-year curriculum emphasizing critical thinking, intercultural
understanding and exposure to a variety of points of view. IBD is a holistic program requiring students to be full diploma candidates which expects each student to take
a subject from each of 6 Groups of study: Language A, Language B, Individuals & Societies, Experimental Science, Mathematics, Art/Elective. In addition to the 6 academic
courses, students must take the Theory of Knowledge course, complete an extended essay, and accumulate a minimum of 150 CAS hours throughout their 11th and 12th grade
years. The IB Diploma program has earned a reputation for rigorous assessment, giving IB diploma holders access to the world’s leading universities, including the most
selective.
