ASSESSMENT

The Assessment Office has both leadership and support responsibilities for campuses regarding student assessment.  Our goal is to enhance student learning opportunities by administering Federal, State and Local testing programs across the District.

INSTRUCTIONAL ASSESSMENT

The department of Instructional Assessments provides TEKS CHECKS and TAKS Simulation assessments in math, science, social studies, reading and writing.  In addition, the Texas Primary Reading Inventory (TPRI) and Tejas Lee (Spanish Reading Inventory) for grades K-2 are administered. The results of these assessments are reported to the board.  This assessment data is utilized to improve student achievement.
