Teacher Allotment The
Instructional Resource Center provides each classroom teacher, librarian,
counselor, instructional consultants, visiting teachers, speech
pathologists, principals, assistant principals, and nurse an allotment of
$150 for use of materials and services at the Center. Funds are not
transferable to other personnel and do not carry over from year to year.
Use of funds is for preparation of classroom/library projects. Materials
must be made at the IRC Center - supplies are not to be carried out for
classroom or student use. Teachers are responsible for preparation of their
own materials - assistance is given if needed. There are a few exceptions to
this rule and IRC staff can elaborate on these exceptions.
Due to liability - children accompanying parents must be seated, either
reading or coloring during their visit in the IRC. They are not allowed to
use the dies, laminators or cutting machines. We only have your child's
safety in mind during their visit to the IRC. All
teacher allotment accounts are on a computer at the IRC. The computer
located next to the media section has instructions posted on it for your
convenience. The IRC staff enters all the information that you provide when
filling out your teacher supply allotment sheet, and the computer
automatically calculates your current allotment balance. In order for the
IRC to keep your balance correctly up-to-date, please make sure you fill out
all information on the supply form. Please help us keep
our records current by letting us know of a name change, or a change of
schools. If you are a new teacher in TISD let the IRC staff know your date
of employment (this will determine the amount you receive for your
allotment). |
