Crutches Across Texas

For Earthquake Victims in Haiti

A local organization called Crutches Across Texas is collecting used crutches for earthquake victims in Haiti.  There are many people, including children, that have been injured and lost limbs in this tragedy and they do not have crutches. 

This is a great opportunity for us to show that Clarkston Cougars are caring.  If your family has an old set of crutches just laying around in the attic, or taking up space in a closet, you can donate them to make a difference for people in Haiti.  Here is how we will participate:

·        Ask your parents if you have an old set of crutches you can donate.

·        Deliver them to the Counselor’s office or the front office at Clarkston. 

o   Do not bring them on the bus if you are a bus rider. 

o   If it is not possible for you to bring them to school, make arrangements with Mr. Lawson to come and pick them up.

·        Deadline is March 26^th.

·        As an extra incentive, for each set of crutches donated you will earn an extra “Cougar” for your homeroom towards your next “Cougar Party.”
