Projects for the year:
Fall - Colonialism Project. We will create a "Folder Project" that covers the flag, map, export products, and government structure of one of the thirteen original colonies.
Fall - Amendment Project. We will have a project over one of the first fifteen amendments to the Constitution. Each student will re-write a chosen amendment and give three examples of how that amendment affects us today.
Winter - Timeline Project. Students will create a timeline that covers major events and people from 1789 (Constitution) through 1865 (The end of the Civil War). This will also be a folder project.
Spring - Newspaper Project. The students will work as a team to create a newspaper that covers important events during the Civil War (1861-1865).
