Accelerated Reading

Read every night for 30 to 45 minutes in a quiet place.

When you stop reading write a short summary of what you read or ask yourself some questions.  This enhances comprehension and helps you to remember what you have read.

     Write complete sentences and write in sequence in which the events occurred.

      Tell how the character solves the problem or learns to live with it.

 

6.Conclusion: (end of story)

      Closed—reader feels a sense of completion

      Open—story ends without telling what will happen

      Cliffhanger—abrupt ending at an exciting or dangerous time in the story
