7th Grade Reading

While in 7th Grade Reading, students learn reading comprehension skills and the reading strategies necessary to be successful on the TEKS test.  All TEKS objectives are covered throughout the school year in a variety of ways.  Students actively listen to read aloud by the teachers.  Students are also expected to read silently in and outside of the daily class.

 AR points and quizzes count as daily grades.  29 points are required for a student to receive a score of 100 for Accelerated Reader. 

Students are expected to supply a pen, a pencil, a colored highlighter (No Yellow!), notebook paper, a pocket folder with brads, and an Accelerated Reading book in class everyday.
