Andy Woods Library Reading Renaissance

One of our goals at Andy Woods is to help students become lifelong learners who love to read!  We have found that Reading Renaissance guides our students to move towards this lifetime goal.  The program consists of three main components: or accessing student’s independent reading level. *AR- a computerized reading management system to measure independent reading practice. Teachers motivate, instruct, monitor and intervene as needed.  Students are so excited to be able to choose from thousands of literature favorites in the library. Reading POWER Lessons:  Reading skills are taught through these lessons to students and in turn enhance their reading improvement. We welcome everyone to come and witness our wonderful reading success, just make sure to whisper because there is always someone reading at Andy Woods Elementary.
