Ann Webb, Ed. D, is an associate professor of mathematics education
at the University of Texas at Tyler. In addition to her work at UT
Tyler she trains teachers to teach mathematics to students in grades
K-12. She has long been a provider for professional development in
public and private schools in Texas. Her first five-day Mathematics
Institute in Tyler Independent School District was during June 1977.
Dr. Webb, a mathematics teacher for the past four
decades, is a leader in mathematics education in Texas. She is past
president of the Texas Association of Supervisor of Mathematics and
East Texas Council of Teachers of Mathematics. She has served on numerous state advisory boards at the
public school level and at the higher education level. She can be
